Welcome to our 52nd USS Valley Forge HVRC Reunion! Our skipper this year is Jerry Miller. They are excited to show you the best of Las Vegas, and its many fabulous attractions. Your arrival packet will contain brochures to guide you to the many adventures:
Monday arrive at 'The Strat' 3 to 7 PM, 1900 Meeting for all to attend.
Tuesday Breakfast is on your own. Encouraged to ride the Deuce* and tour the City.
Wednesday Breakfast is on your own. Ride the Deuce* and tour the city.
Thursday Breakfast is on your own.
Ride the Deuce* and tour the City.
0900 - Executive Committee Meeting in Recovery Room
1000 - General Meeting in Recovery Room for all
1800 - Cash Bar opens 108th floor
1830 - Take your seat commence Memorial Services
1900 - Dinner will commence
1945 - Awards and recognition
2100 – Secure the Banquet
2400 – Secure the Recovery Room

Transportation Recommendation

It is my recommendation that you use the Deuce as your means of transportation during our stay in Las Vegas. The Deuce offers a three-day pass. They also provide a veteran’s discount, meaning the cost is only $10, and I will try to secure tickets for all attendees before you arrive. The tickets will be included in your packet at check-in. The cost is $10 for three days.

The Deuce runs 24 hours a day and picks you up right in front of the hotel.

Things to Do or See

Fremont Street Experience - 8 PM and walk all three blocks to see it all. This is old Las Vegas, but revitalized.
The Gold Nugget in the Golden Nugget – The largest gold nugget in Las Vegas, located on the first floor.
The Shark Tank in the Golden Nugget – Located on the first floor by the pool.
Ride the entire length of the strip on the Deuce!
MGM – Future TV shows and live animals.
Circus Circus – Live circus on the second floor.
Treasure Island – Nighttime pirate fights.
New York – Chocolate Factory.
Visit any casino you desire to see.
Stratosphere Tower – Dine at the top of the tower.

Heart Attack Grill

The Heart Attack Grill is a must-see! If you enjoy dressing up for dinner, you'll love donning a hospital gown or doctor’s outfit before feasting on their extreme burgers. The burgers here have the highest calorie count you can imagine.

Enjoy sipping your drink through an IV line while chowing down on the Bypass Burger of your choice. Singles, doubles, or even triples are manageable, but if you dare, try the Octuple Bypass Burger – an enormous dish featuring eight patties, forty slices of bacon, and enough cheese to hit nearly twenty thousand calories.

If you can’t finish it, don’t order it! There’s no sharing allowed, and if you don’t finish your meal, be prepared for a fun (yet serious) consequence – a spanking. Only at your own risk!

The Deuce will be our daily transportation - You may ride it Tuesday AM until Friday morning for $10 a day if a veteran or over 60 years of age. Otherwise, it is $20 per day. It runs from one end of the strip it the other and you can get on and off as much as you want. Send a copy of your driver licenses to Jerry Miller with the registration form and I will have your bus ticket in your packet when you arrive. *If you desire to ride the Deuce I need a copy of your driver licenses so I may purchase tickets in advance. Please send with your registration form.

Thursday EVENING will be our Reunion Banquet with full buffet and cash bar. Yes!, there will be a RAFFLE for prizes. NOTE: It is customary to bring a $10 gift or cash in an envelope for the banquet on Saturday night. Raffle tickets are sold throughout the reunion and at the banquet there will be a table for the gifts to be won. If you left your gift at home, $10 or more in an envelope would be acceptable. Tickets for the raffle will be sold on an ongoing basis throughout the reunion. As always, we will need volunteers for the recovery room and selling raffle tickets.
